SALES CALL SAILS AGAIN!

WEATHER IMPROVES IN DAYTONA BEACH

MAGRADY'S AVOID TORNADO DAMAGE
|
Finally after weeks and weeks of rain, a break in the weather has made it possible for Sales Call to leave port. A brief cruise down the Intercoastal Waterway from Halifax Harbor to Ponce Inlet was enjoyed by Captain Pat and his first mate. Cloudy weather made the trip a little less enjoyable, but certainly better than being in drydock in Kenosha!

Thanks to all our friends and relatives who voiced their concern regarding the recent Tornadoes which hit Sanford. We were fortuneate that they missed us by 5-10 miles. In fact, no one at AAA experienced any damage, which is truly a miracle, since areas both north and south of the office were hit.

SLOPPY JOE'S OPENS IN DAYTONA BEACH - SKIPPER BUD'S SOON TO COME
|
We are now able to experience a taste of the Keys without leaving our marina as Sloppy Joe's has opened for lunch and dinner. Since Colombia/Cha Cha Coconuts vacated over a year ago, the captain has had to supply his own meals aboard ship, generally consisting of sub-sandwiches from the local Publix. Our intial sampling at Sloopy Joe's was quite tasty and we recommend it to those visiting the Daytona Beach area. Even during Bike Week, it was not overly crowed and service was good. The management of our Harbor will be taken over by Skipper Bud's - apparently they, too, have followed us to Florida!
